Specialty Sodium Silicate Grout for Injection Grouting in Civil Engineering
Sodium silicate solution ,also called as water glass. It is a colorless, light yellow or blue-gray transparent viscous liquid that is easily soluble in water. It is a soluble inorganic silicate and has a wide range of uses.
Sodium silicate water glass (without pressure filtration) can be mixed with cement slurry for grouting. The two solutions are quickly injected into the outlet using a grouting machine, and the two will solidify in 10 seconds, quickly blocking the outlet and stabilizing the terrain. Used for projects with complex terrain and large groundwater, such as subways, tunnels, artificial islands, and underwater construction.

Appearance and Packaging

This is a colorless, light yellow or bluish-gray transparent viscous liquid that can be easily dissolved in water.

It is usually packaged in ICB barrels or 200-liter plastic barrels.
The core advantages and features of Water Glass Sodium Silicate Grout

1. Controllable gelation time of sodium silicate and cement grouting:
By adjusting the modulus and concentration of sodium silicate, as well as the ratio with the curing agent, the gelation time can be precisely controlled from several seconds to several tens of minutes. This not only enables rapid sealing of sudden water gushing but also allows for large-scale penetration reinforcement. The construction flexibility is extremely high.
2. The excellent permeability and diffusion capacity of sodium silicate:
The sodium silicate used for grouting has a low viscosity and good fluidity. It can effectively penetrate into fine sand layers and micro-cracks, ensuring that the grout can reach the required treatment depth. This results in a more thorough reinforcement and waterproofing effect.
3. High solidification body strength:
The gel formed after the reaction of the special sodium silicate for grouting and the curing agent has a high compressive strength and bonding strength. It not only can stop water leakage, but also significantly improves the mechanical properties of the soil, preventing foundation settlement and deformation.
4. Excellent durability and impermeability:
The gel formed by the reaction of sodium silicate and cement has stable chemical properties and is insoluble in water. It can maintain the structural integrity for a long time, providing a long-lasting waterproof barrier and reinforcing effect, and reducing the maintenance costs in the later stage.
5. Economy and Versatility:
The sodium silicate used for grouting has a low cost and is suitable for various scale projects. It can provide customers with cost-effective solutions, especially in large-volume and low-budget projects, where its advantages are particularly prominent
